Angel Tree, part of Prison Fellowship Ministries, is a ministry that provides Christmas gifts to children of incarcerated parents. This year St Luke's is joining with Truly Reaching You Inc. to bless over 250 children in the greater Akron area.
St. Luke’s is one of several churches in the area working with TRY, and there are two ways you can support the ministry of Angel Tree. You can sign up to purchase gifts for the children, or you can volunteer at the Angel Tree party, on Saturday, Dec. 14th, when the gifts are distributed.
If you are interested in gift giving, Angel Tree Tags wil be available in the Foyer beginning next Sunday, Dec. 17th.
St. Luke’s will have 50-60 Angel tags, each representing a child in our area. Please register your tag with one our helpful volunteers so we can keep track of which tags have been taken and track when gifts have been returned. There are gift suggestions on the tags for each child. We recommend purchasing a gift of ‘want’ and a gift of ‘need’ for each child. You can expect to spend approximately $60 to $70 for your gifts, so feel free to ‘go in’ with friends, family, your life group, or ministry group.
Gifts should be returned to St. Luke’s by Sunday, Dec. 8th.
For those interested in serving at the Angel Tree Party, which will occur on Saturday, Dec. 14th, there will be a meeting next Sunday, Dec. 17th, after the service to discuss details and opportunities to serve. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, contact Jim Fulton.

St. Luke's is a source of help and blessing to people facing difficult situations, meeting those needs and providing comfort and prayer to those affected.
Through the end of June, the benevolence needs for our parish and community have exceeded the amounts we spent in all of 2023.
We have blessed to be a blessing in our tithe, our time, and our talents. We will have a special offering the first week of each month. Any loose cash or change in the offering will be designated for Benevolence.
Checks with 'Benevolence' noted in the memo section will also be added to our Benevolence fund.

Songwriters, visuals artists, poets, and creative artists of all disciplines, St. Luke's Church of Copley, Ohio is inviting you to a very special NE Ohio United Adoration retreat designed for you! We believe the Lord has picked this time together for us to encounter Him while we create, collaborate, receive encouragement and build community with other artists.
The retreat will focus on each retreat participant experiencing a Holy Spirit led creative process. During the retreat, we will have extended time to create, collaborate with one another, pray together, reflect on scripture, share meals, and worship God in community.
This retreat will also include some short Biblical teachings from Rev. Dave Frincke about creativity and the arts that will help inform and inspire your creative process.
We believe that when we gather to worship and create, the Holy Spirit does deep work in our souls, so we intentionally leave time during the retreat for the Holy Spirit to minister to us.
Artists of all ages and artistic experience levels are welcome. Please bring your own instruments and artistic materials if possible.

The group will meet the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. No previous art training or experience is necessary to be part of this group. Drawing skills are not required.
Linda has many self-helps for your use in her studio including the stencils and stamps she used in creating her own journal pages. Linda will be sharing various techniques she has used through her years of journaling. Each evening will focus on a different technique. Combining art with the written Word is a wonderful and rewarding way of connecting to self and the Lord.
A $5 donation for supplies and materials is requested.

Stage4 continues to minister to those facing the devastating diagnoses of cancer by distributing comfort bags to 5 cancer treatment centers in the Akron/Medina area.
Our all-volunteer group is made up of those who have completed cancer treatments in the past, those currently in treatment, caregivers, and those who care. The comfort bags contain items suggested by those of us who have experienced cancer and know what makes that time a little easier.
If you would like to join us in this exciting ministry, we meet at St Luke’s Anglican Church in Copley Oh.

The Copley Outreach Center is a privately funded, volunteer-driven center founded to reach out to the community to assist families who find themselves unable to provide basic needs such as food or shelter.
Copley Outreach Center provides the following services:
- Food Pantry provides non-perishable food items and personal products.
- Seasonal Gift Cards are given for special occasions (i.e., Easter, Thanksgiving)
- Assist in Share-A-Christmas
- Limited Financial Assistance for help with utilities to avoid shut-off
Backpack Program
Copley-Fairlawn Cares is a non-profit, volunteer organization in cooperation with the Copley Outreach Center that addresses food insecurity in children in the Copley-Fairlawn City Schools.
Through the Schools, students are identified and can opt into the program. The center provides a weekend bag of food two times a month to K-12, during the school year to eligible children. A Copley-Fairlawn Cares pack is a bag of food that consists of 2 breakfast and 2 lunch items, plus 2 snacks for the weekend. The items are single serving size, easily opened and prepared, such as an oatmeal packet, mac, and cheese, canned fruit, raisins, etc.
How Can You Help?
- You can make a monetary donation. All donations are tax-deductible.
- You can sponsor 1 child’s weekend meals for $60.00 for the school year.
- You can volunteer to help pack the Copley-Fairlawn Cares packs.

A number of thrift stores and donation centers are still not accepting donations or having limited hours. The St. Pauly shed provides a great opportunity to donate and you'll be helping those in need, too!
What to drop-off: Used clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, pillowcases, blankets, curtains, and stuffed animals.
What not to drop-off: Furniture, electronics, household items, books, toys, garbage, pillows, rags, and fabric scraps.
Please tie the clothes into a trash bag and put in the slot to keep them safe and dry.
St. Luke's receives 4 cents per pound for the items donated.
Contact the church office when you or a loved one will be in the hospital or would like a visit from the Clergy or a member of our Lay-Eucharistic Visiting Team. They would be glad to visit, pray, and offer communion.

- From our website: Click on the 'Give' button in the upper right corner. You can fill out the form with a credit card/debit card or bank routing and account number. You will receive a receipt by email and you can set your donation up as recurring if you choose.
- From your Own Bank: Send a payment through your bank account's bill pay option on the bank website. The church will receive a paper check in the mail. This can also be set up as recurring if you choose.
- Drop off you offering in the church mailbox or come inside to the office during business hours.
