Like any family there are many layers that makes us distinct.  We are church that Cares for our community, our church families and for the next generation to come.  As we describe ourselves we lik to say that we flow in three streams: Biblical, Anglican and Spirit-filled. These are not goals, but rather “streams” which characterize and “flow through” our life together:

Biblical

We believe in the authority of the Holy Scriptures, (the Bible’s Old and New Testaments). We recognize that the Scriptures point us to a relationship with Jesus Christ. In that relationship and through understanding the Bible helps us to flourish in life.

Anglican

The Anglican Church has order and celebration at it’s heart.  So on each Sunday morning we follow the pattern and order of worship the same as other Anglican churches around the world and we celebrate god’s greatest gift in the Eucharist. We believe that this celebration is a sacrament which is an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace.  We are associated with the historic, worldwide Anglican Communion of which St. Luke’s is a member through the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes within the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Spirit Filled

We believe that the Holy Spirit is active today and is powerful to transform us today. The Holy Spirit is given to all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit resides in us and empowers us with gifts to build each other up. We believe that the Holy spirit is still active doing miraculous thing in our midst. We encourage all our members to be filled with, immersed in, baptized by, or released by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of being energized for living and making a difference in our world.
